What is our focus?
Liver Disease
Our largest focus is on assessing and addressing health equity matters of access to liver transplantation. We are also working on how to improve surveillance and early diagnosis of Metabolic-Dysfunction Associated Steatotic Liver Disease
Health Systems Engineering
Our team utilizes a systems engineering approach to solving complex problems of healthcare. We utilize techniques from data science, artificial intelligence, and Human-Centered Design.
Health equity
We study disparities in healthcare (e.g., racial, ethnic, gender, sexual-orientation), and we aim to promote health equity. We are particularly interested in algorithmic fairness related to clinical decision support tools.
